Sweet Springtime

Well Deb’s brother Doug tells us the trails are fading fast. Guess this will be the last weekend for the sleds for this year. Book early for next season, you remember how busy things get during ‘the season’. You can still catch sugar season while you are here. We visited the Sucrerie Unique, over on the Canadian side, about 10 miles from the Northern Door Inn, last weekend and if you like maple syrup, you will love the sugar house. This is where you get the best on the planet. There are several in the area, just ask for directions and better get up here soon as the sugar season is only 4 to 6 weeks long and you don’t want to miss it.
Don’t forget the spring melt means fishing is just around the corner. We are cleaning out the boats and getting the fishing gear out of the attic, putting new lines on the reels and oiling up the outboard. We have dozens of lakes and trout streams just jumping with fish. Don’t forget to get your Maine fishing lic. and we hope to see you soon.
